My classroom has a motto: "We don't talk about doing theatre, we DO theatre!" Everything I do is hands on. Every day students are writing, studying and performing theatre. I don't believe in traditional desks, so I opt for transitional alternative seating (stools, bean bags, inflatable ottomans, yoga balls, etc.) This makes my classroom a 360-degree space where we are free to move and explore. My students love work that feels like play, and that's what I strive to do every day. The best part about my job is seeing them discover a love of theatre and try hard things they never would have before!!
