Before this year, there was no art program at this school, a small title 1 transfer school with very limited resources. Art allows you to see the world in a new way and to express ourselves. Our future art projects will focus on the principles of design, watercolor, and printmaking in a super fun, free, and nurturing setting. The supplies will help make sure the students get a quality art education so they can take their art to the next level if they so choose. They will also have the opportunity to make amazing projects to share. These supplies will help our over-aged and under-credited students create art, freely express themselves, destress, and foster their socio-emotional growth. Art should not be a luxury, but should be offered to all students, and especially transfer school students.
