Our school serves students from all backgrounds and is a diverse place. We are also the type of school that feels more like a family. Our staff deeply cares about the well being of our students. This year, our school is launching a weekend backpack program for students in need. We will provide a backpack with healthy food for the weekend on Fridays to students who may experience food insecurity over the weekend. Many students receive free or reduced price breakfast and lunch during the week. However, on the weekends, often times some families may experience food insecurity. This program provides healthy food to students who need it. This helps students feel safe and ready to learn! This storage unit will keep the food for the program safe and secure during the week before it is distributed on Fridays.
