Playing a band instrument requires proper posture, and an ergonomically suitable chair helps students learn and maintain that posture. The chairs I've selected are specifically designed for band students and will help my students play better, and learn how to sit properly. Proper posture allows students to sit up straight, breathe fully​ and helps them focus and concentrate. If they are slouching in their chairs (my current plastic chairs facilitate this because they are slippery, and slope back), or their feet cannot easily touch the ground, they cannot produce a good sound, cannot breath properly, and don't have the same ability to focus as they would if they were sitting properly.
