These whiteboards will give my students an additional medium through which they will be able to express their learning while also cutting down on paper use, thus reducing our collective carbon footprint. By displaying their work on whiteboards, my English Learners are able to break down barriers that would otherwise prevent them from sharing their work with the class. Among other things, my students will use these whiteboards to rewrite grammatically incorrect sentences using proper conventions and to put their phonemic awareness to the test by identifying words with different vowel sounds. As a teacher, whiteboards provide me with a quick and effective means of assessing student learning.
