My students will benefit greatly from having these classroom supplies, and they can not afford to bring their own. The school has very limited resources. The materials requested in this project, such as colored pencils, scissors, sentence strip, markers and notebooks seem like small requests, but are so tremendously appreciated by the students. Additionally, receiving praise using a personalized postcard mailed to them increases their sense of pride and confidence for the incredible effort they put towards their work. Many of my students are learning English, and being able to express what they know artistically is so beneficial to their learning. It would mean the world to them.
