More than 75% of my students qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch. The remaining 25% do not even apply for this program for a multitude of reasons but these students would qualify if their application was submitted. These students are the most lovable and empathetic kiddos I’ve ever had the pleasure of teaching. Most with one parent households and most already providing “childcare” for their younger siblings. These kids are growing up fast because life has just progressed that way. With these items we’d be providing these students doorways to potential that would stay untapped without these oppurtunities that will allow their potential to grown and flourish.
