Reading with the whole class, reading with friends, reading in a book club, or just reading alone. "The world belongs to those who read." (Rick Holland) All of these wonderful children's literature will open our students' world, minds, and dreams. It is one of the most valuable gifts that we, as adults, can give to our students. We will use these books in our Reading Workshop, Guided Reading as well as Reading Book Clubs. Not only will students read the stories but they will also explicitly study author's purpose and his/her writing crafts. When students develop the love of reading and the comprehensive strategies, they are competent to pave their ways to succeed their academic life.
