Active seating has been proven to be an effective tool with students in the classroom. I believe that it is not healthy for kids to sit for long periods of time. Our school day is long and the majority of the time students are working at tables. These seven Active Learning Stools would provide helpful movement that promote concentration and focus. The stools increase blood flow, improve posture, and strengthen muscles. Since the state funding is not adequate for K-12 education, I need to rely on outside resources to help meet students' needs. These stools are a safe alternative that help kids burn off energy while they work. Most of my students are full of energy and some are constantly trying to move around. In addition to improved focus, these seats would create more space in the classroom because they are narrower than a typical classroom chair. It is a challenge to fit thirty 3rd graders in my room with chairs and these stools would create more space for them to get around the room. Thank you.
