We are requesting a rug for our classroom to use during our morning meeting, shared reading, writer's workshop, calendar, and whole group lessons. My students need a cozy carpet to invite them to learn. We spend a majority of our day on the floor and my students would love to have their own comfortable space for learning. Students will also be able to spread out during independent work time. Providing an alternative space other than their desks will allow for more comfort for those who want to spread out. Having this classroom rug will allow my students the best learning environment possible. A classroom rug creates more space to discover, community build, play and share.
