Students in my classroom are encouraged to work in cooperative groups and meet the challenges of appreciating and building upon the similarities and differences of their classmates as they strive to meet common academic goals. Students are encouraged to provide constructive criticism or positive feedback to their peers as they work through problem solving and completing group projects or activities. With the supplies that I requested such as pencils, glue, and scissors students will be able to complete the projects that are required of them. Students will use the pencils each and everyday for their written work. The scissors and glue will be used 3 to 4 times per week for either their interactive science notebook or for a group assignment. My classroom is designed to provide every student with the opportunity to explore learning in a supportive and bully free zone. Students are encouraged to voice their thinking about our learning and test their ideas without being discouraged by others. Our class motto is: It's ok to fail forward- Ask Ben Franklin.
