I chose yoga balls as one choice of flexible seating. It allows students to expel energy they have while allowing their brains to focus on learning. I also chose stools that allow students to wiggle while they are listening or working so their bodies are getting what they need for movement, while still being able to focus without disrupting others learning. Flexible seating allows students the option of what seat would provide the best opportunity for them to learn. There is more time that they spend sitting down, having to take in a lot of information. By providing seating that can absorb some of their energy or provide them with an alternate seat in the classroom, students are more ready to take in this information and understand it.

About my class
