I have a wonderful group of students that I will be working with this year! Our elementary school is focusing on our culture and embracing cultural diversity. I would like my students to "see" themselves in what they read! I want them to be inspired and make that movie in their mind with a mindset that reading can take them anywhere! I would love to have books written by African American authors and all other authors of our beautiful and diverse world! I would love books that would teach them about the past, yet give them hope for the future! I would love to have rich literature that children could embrace and want to read over and over again!
