My students need an Apple MacBook Air to connect to different educational websites such as Raz-Kids, Starfall, Code.org, and Mystery Science. We will also use the computer to problem solve, create, and research. I would like to encourage my students to collaborate with technology. Research shows that children who work with partners on a computer or laptop benefit more than if they work alone. My students will be able to use the MacBook Air to work together on solving math word problems and coding activities. Having a technology buddy will create opportunities for students to have academic conversations with each other. Many top technology firms look for engineers who can communicate and work collaboratively. This project will help me prepare my students for the world of technology.
