My students will use this document camera on a daily basis to help encorporate a better way to learn different writing methods in the classroom. Even though I was able to introduce different writing methods to my students last year in their third grade, I strongly believe that by having the students use the document camera in my classroom during small and whole group instruction this year, I can help my students become successful writers. It will also help them understand and create a more meaningful way to become life-long writers. The document camera will help my students to look deeper into the writing of other authors and in turn, help my students to then create their own writing identity and help them find their "writers voice". By giving these low income students access to this type of technology, you are investing in the needs of students who wouldn't otherwise have the tools needed to further their education.
