My students love learning and are developing as young scholars in reading. We lack materials to help students grow in independent and group learning strategies during whole group and learning center activities. My students will grow substantially in reading and literacy with the addition of workbooks and independent reading centered strategies during guided reading and center activities. Helping my students to develop as young readers is one of the most important tasks I have as a third grade teacher and I want to provide them with learning experiences that are measurable and meaningful. My students love to work with me whole group and in small groups with peers for independent activities and I think these materials will help us accomplish many of our learning goals in this academic year.
