Our district is located in an underserved area. Administrators, teachers, and students are often forced to sacrifice wants for needs. In this case, it's microphones. We share a set of 8 wireless microphones among all the high schools in the district. This makes it difficult to put on productions with larger casts (more than 8,) or sometimes we are left without microphones if there is a scheduling conflict between buildings. We would use these boundary microphones to ensure our hard work during rehearsals is heard. Our auditorium is large. Our feeder schools use the auditorium for their concerts and shows in addition to the high school students using it for the same purpose. Not only would these microphones get used during every theatre, vocal, and instrumental music performance by the high school students, but they would also be available for use by both elementary and middle schools that use our auditorium.
