An Art room should be a place where Imagination can flourish. Students should feel empowered and have confidence to try new things. They should be encouraged to take risks. That is the power of Art. It is not just simply painting and drawing pretty pictures....it is learning to tap into the power of their imaginations and creativity. These are invaluable in the world to come and will help students prepare to be the leaders, inventors, creators, and problem solvers of the future. Imagination is the heart of the Art program. Even Albert Einstein, one of the smartest men who ever lived, understood the importance of it. For this reason, I have painted a large mural on my classroom wall with Einstein's quote, "Imagination is more important than knowledge."
