I am requesting therapeutic supplies for a "Chill Zone" area within my classroom. This is a quiet space where student's take a couple of minutes with liquid timers, stress balls and/or fidget toys when they are frustrated, angry or sad and helps them get back to a positive mind set and the learning process can continue. The craft supplies will benefit my students by allowing them to use their imaginations and create projects based on multiple themes throughout the curriculum. Using props to retell stories, Diorama boxes and props to demonstrate knowledge of Science and History information and Classifying and sorting craft materials to enhance Math concepts and skills. Using concrete materials deepens students comprehension of skills being taught. Your donation will help my students achieve academic success by using craft projects to demonstrate knowledge of skills learned, as well as provide therapeutic tools for self-regulation.
