These robotics supplies will provide my students with a hands on beginning look at mechanics and robotics. Students will also be able to build their team work skills by working with a partner to assemble their kit. These supplies will be used during our rotating extension groups. Each group consists of 7-10 students that follow a rotations through specific teachers for a few weeks at a time. During each rotation, each teacher focuses on a different skill that enhances and furthers other key subject topics. I would like to focus my rotation on robotics and coding to help spark my students interest in these topics. These supplies would be used for each group and taken apart to be re-used for every rotation. My goal for these supplies is to allow my students to explore with mechanics and robotics. We will also look at the basic structure of each kit and the engineering properties that allows each kit to function. I chose the specific kits that focused on moving mechanics so we could focus on the engineering properties of each simple machine and problem solve if something is not working properly.
