My students work in small groups sometimes playing music board games that I have created as well as practicing our note reading skills. The magnetic boards and magnets will be used to practice note reading as well as rhythm writing at all grade levels. The colored bears will be used for composing rhythms in the primary grades as well as for game pieces for music board games that I have created. The CD will be used for improvising movement to music. Manipulatives-items that students use with their hands, highly motivate my students in elementary music. These manipulatives will increase student engagement in music class.
