I teach in a Turn-Around school in Atlanta, Georgia. My school is classified as High Poverty Title 1, which means that one hundred percent of the students qualify for a free lunch. My students range from 5 to 8 years old with various special needs related to Autism, other health impairments (ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder and emotional behavioral disorders), learning disabilities and intellectual disabilities. Many of my students come to school without basic supplies that they need. My students arrive to school everyday enthusiastic to learn despite the challenges that they face.
