Spanish books that students can relate to are limited! Most are stories that have simply been translated. Having these books in our classroom library will allow students make connections to stories that are similar to their cultural experiences. Other items on this list will serve to define centers, organize materials, or create an engaging space. The sharpener in particular will end the sharp pencil shortage thus leading to more work time. Overall, these items will help set the stage for learning. In addition to building our classroom library, we are setting up a science area, adding a poetry station, and establishing a pencil system.
