This project focuses around the Automation & Robotics course. In this course, students will work through the design process to identify challenges, share ideas, design solutions, and eventually build prototypes of their solutions with the robotic kits! Students will learn about simple machines and mechanisms that they will incorporate into their designs to create efficient and real-world solutions. However these robotic kits come with hundreds of small parts... The organization bins will teach students valuable organizational and inventory skills and instill a sense of self-responsibility in our classroom. A system of organization will allow my students to hold themselves and each other accountable for the multitude of parts in their robotic kits. Being able to see all parts clearly organized and laid out will help students during their design process as they are clearly aware of their supplies and their limitations. Making it easy for students to locate, inventory, and return parts will allow my students to use more time during designing and creating and less time during clean up!
