We are requesting an instant print digital camera, photo paper, and a scrapbooking set so that the children in the classroom can document their daily learning and create an artistic representation of it, as well. The children in the classroom love taking pictures, and we want to put that ability in their hands. We are asking for two children's tablets and three sets of headphones so that children are not waiting as long to play learning games and experience music and literacy in a digital way. We will be using the camera and pictures to create art projects, as well as to display visible learning in the classroom for families, administrators, and other educators who visit. It is important that children take charge of their learning and displaying what they know. The tablets requested are to help increase technology use in the classroom and offer more independent and one-on-one learning with children. Teachers can talk to the child about the game they are playing or what they are practicing and learning. It is a method for opening communication about learning and fun with children, as well.
