Movement in my classroom is essential for students' learning and engagement. Research shows a need for students to move in order to be better focused and motivated. It can be challenging for students to sit for long periods of times. I try to provide opportunities for students to get up and move as often as I can. Having ball chairs in the classroom will just be one more way I can provide movement activities for students. In the classroom, I will utilize the balance ball chairs by having them available to students who need them. I will use some at my table where I meet with students in small groups and the others students can use at their seats. I believe this will help students release their extra energy and keep them learning and having fun in the classroom. Please consider donating to help me provide my students with more flexible seating!
