These materials will make a difference in my student's lives in various ways. I have a multitude of students who perform at a lower grade level than sixth grade. Sitting in a desk and listening to a teacher is not an effective way to keep them fully engaged. First, the reading materials will allow then to stay engaged during silent reading as well as work on reading projects, which will help increase their comprehension level. Second, the pencils and paper will be of great assistance to the students who can not afford materials. Lastly, materials for the reading corner and cleaning the classroom will promote a fun, safe, and clean environment for learning.
