Second grade students have high learning expectations laid out before them, but we must remember that they are still only 7 years old...and those bodies need to move! Many students have trouble maintaining stamina and focus when seated at traditional desks for too long. If I have set a high bar for their learning and performance, it is my absolute duty to provide them a means to achieve that level of success! Giving my students autonomy in their seating options and providing an outlet for their energy while they tackle academic tasks is one way I can do that for them.

About my class
