I am a first-year teacher and I have been trying to buy books that would go well with my classroom library and appeal to my students. This can be very expensive and I have already purchased several used copies of books for my library but there are still so many more books we need. My students come from mostly low-income houses and some don't have a lot of books at home to read so being able to have those books in the classroom can make a huge difference for them. My students love to read and at the beginning of the year I asked them what books they would like to see added to the classroom library. We made a list and it filled the whiteboard twice! I have been searching and have found some of the books that they want to read at discounted prices. I really could use help getting more of the books that will keep my students interested in reading in the classroom. The books in my project make up a portion of the books the class said they wanted to have available to them.
