My students will use this puppet theatre and puppets to develop creative skills and find their voice. Puppet play offers tremendous benefits for a child's development. Second language learners and students that hesitate to participate in class, communicate more easily with puppets, giving them more confidence to be expressive. Creative play supports and promotes children's oral language and literacy development. Puppets are entertaining and captivating. They connect play with learning. These puppets will stimulate creative learning, imagination and expressive language. While students are busy "playing" and retelling classic children's literature, they are also exercising the muscles in their fingers, hands, and arms necessary for writing.
