My students need non-breakable, longer rulers for large drawing projects. Our average projects have been 9x12. We want to work 18x24 and larger. The art program at the school is expanding from a generic "art class" to more specific mediums and courses. This year we added an intensive drawing class that included grid art as well as 1pt and 2pt perspective. Unbreakable, flexible, long rulers are essential in allowing students to work on larger scale projects. Teaching students the basics of measuring with accuracy is a skill that can transfer out of the art room and into their math and science classes as well as into their daily lives. Several of these students' families work in construction. This isn't just a skill for the classroom, this is a skill for life!
