These materials will create a warm and inviting classroom library where they can excel as readers, writers and storytellers. My school doesn't have a small group table for me which hinders me to work in a small group setting with my fourth graders. So, a small group table will allow me as the teacher to be successful during intervention time by pulling a small group of students to a table. The bean bag chair and "A Place for Everyone" carpet will help my students feel safe, calm and relaxed so they can freely enjoy reading books for pleasure. This carpet area will serve many purposes throughout each day, for instance, my students will gather for whole group during our reading blockAll of these materials will create a classroom environment where my students will want to be in attendance everyday. An inviting library will also allow opportunity for students to develop buddy reading partnerships.
