These statistics textbooks are necessary to aid students as they further develop the independence they need to be successful on the AP exam and prepare for college level work. A former student's best advice for her classmates is, "Read to learn, not just to memorize". She spoke about how the interesting examples and rigorous problems in the text helped her internalize and own the material. In class, we use the textbook for investigative activities, sample AP problems, and evidence to strengthen our conclusions. These texts provide a necessary foundation for the course. Without a text of their own to use each day, students in this course are put at a disadvantage in comparison to their peers.
