All of these math manipulatives are put into math stations and will become interactive tools and resources for my learners to grow as mathematicians. The 100's charts become game boards for students to roll and count up to 100. These 100's charts can be used with one dice or differentiated with two dice to help with adding skills. Then the bear manipulatives are use to model addition and subtraction problems. The bears also help with number sense in the Bears in a Cave game that requires students to problem solve how many bears their partner is hiding under the cave when their is a total of ten bears put only 4 are visible. The hot dots give students immediate feedback by telling them if they solved their addition or subtraction problem correctly. While the linking cubes are fun and an absolute must have for all primary classroom to build number sense, counting skills, comparison and computation of numbers. The math puzzles, counters, 100's charts, linking cubes, and hot dots will meet a huge need within my classroom this year.
