My students enter the classroom and for some it's the only place they feel safe. Teaching in a high poverty area where families struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis, I do not expect each student to come to school with all of the essentials needed to start a successful school year. With students from many different backgrounds, one things for sure, they all look forward to learning in a structured yet nurturing environment. 90% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.

About my class
