I plan to engage students with a variety of educational materials through interactive strategies. Throughout my lesson students will have the opportunity to use magnetic boards, and magnetic letters will assist them in recognizing high frequency words. Expo markers will be a great tool during the time students use white boards for subjects such as math and literacy to demonstrate their work. I'd like to use colored pencils during writing time to engage students in "Rainbow Writing" making their thoughts colorful on their page. Jumbo pencils and pencil grips are an essential tool for practicing handwriting. I understand that the school day can become stressful to students, and a sensory basket would create a calm and safe space for students to reset within the classroom. Students' seat sacks will serve an important purpose, housing all of students educational tools. Students seat sacks will also help keep them organized, as well as maximize instruction time, by limiting transition time to retrieve materials.
