My classroom will be home to 75 eager students learning Reading and Science. I work for a bilingual school, where students will be learning Math in Spanish, and Reading in English! Powell's students are from all over the world! Whether they are from El Salvador, Ethiopia, or Columbia our students may be learning a new language for the first time! Most of our students live with other family members in the same row home, apartment, or even room. They share more than just culture, and traditions, but our families share the status of being immigrants. While this can be a scary time for them, our families still show up, eager to learn, participate and volunteer within our school community! Thank you for taking the time to read about my classroom and school community!

About my class
