Picture a special day classroom. Many of the students are struggling not only with learning challenges but also have experienced way too much trauma in their young lives. With your help, we will bring in musicians to teach these kids drumming. These kids will then turn around and host drumming circles at recess and lunch. This lets them interact with peers in a positive way. It also gives all students access to make the music that heals brains and enhances learning. Dr. Perry of the Child Trauma Academy has documented the healing effects of rhythm in childern. The positive effects of music on academics is well documented. Put your money to good use and help these kids thrive!
