In our classroom, I focus on creating an environment that is comfy and cozy to allow the ultimate learning experience. I'm an advocate for flexible seating, so the students in my class enjoy having the option to take their learning to various spaces in the classroom. Often times I take my instruction to the carpet and absolutely enjoy sitting on the floor with my small groups for hands on learning experience. The students LOVE it, and I can see a difference in the learning taking place! The carpet area tends to be a favorite for independent working and reading time as well. I take much pride in our classroom and creating a "classroom home" feel for my kiddos, so that every day they are excited to come to school. Our current carpet is small, and fills up and gets very crowded quickly. We do need larger carpet space, that way more students can enjoy the carpet area at a time!
