Throughout the day, we move around the classroom. Sometimes, we sit at our seats and at other times we are meeting up in front of the room. The rug that I am requesting funding for gives my students a place to call their own where they can get focused and ready to learn. I'm excited to use this rug as a group learning space that will enrich my students' learning! It will also give us a space to allow my students to work with other partners to help them develop social/personal skills. The rug has individual squares so each person has their own "spot" that will allow them to work independently as well as with their next door neighbor. This rug will be used by many students over the years and will be an integral learning aid for my classroom.
