These glasses will allow students to view the eclipse that is coming through our area. To not be allowed to view safely, would be a lost opportunity. These glasses will allow students to go outside the school building and witness the solar eclipse safely. This experience will broaden their knowledge of science. It also will give these students the same experience hundreds of thousands will experience. The ultimate goal would be that further investigation concerning space would be achieved by showing them firsthand the wonders that exist. While this is a short term project we would not only be preparing students with prior knowledge to the event but they would be taught the recommendations for safe viewing prior.
