Being uncomfortable is unhealthy in many ways, but most importantly it does not improve attention or work ethic. If you ask children to sit in a hard , plastic chair for a long period of time, things start to hurt, they will get uncomfortable and then they could care less about focusing on any type of work! My goal is to offer my kindergarten students comfortable, age appropriate seating options that will help them to stay focused on learning! I Hope to incorporate flexible seating options while keeping some conventional seating as well. The introduction of wobble chairs, laptop desks, high stools, floor cushions, and donut seats will allow each student to CHOOSE a seat where he/she will do his/her BEST work! The bean bag will be used in a “calm corner” of the room by my students who may need quiet and comfortable breaks from time to time. I hope that you will consider donating to my project. On behalf of my students, their families and myself, I want to thank you in advance for you thoughtful donation!
