Creating a laboratory environment will help to cultivate an interest in science and in learning science. This year our science class will be held in a science classroom, so having furniture and equipment at each of the science stations will ensure that all students are able to conduct investigations, and create solutions to solve challenges using the Engineering Design Process at their own pace. Accurate measurements with precise instruments are necessary to successfully solve problems. Measuring is an integral part of modern science. Students will be actively engaged in solving problems which is important in science education. The miniature scales will allow them to take accurate measurements when creating prototypes and conducting investigations, as well as verify their predictions. Students will also be able to sit comfortably at the lab stations.
