My students are tech savvy and wihtout a doubt fast learners, but need technology resources to explore daily. This digital listening station will allow me to transfer all CD and cassette tapes into mp3 files for them to listen and read along as part of our Daily 5 rotations. As bilingual learners listening to someone read in their native or second language is a crucial scaffold for oral language and literacy development. The color coded IPods and the simplicity of these tech devices will allow their tiny selves to manage this listen to reading station independently and enjoy it on a daily basis!
