Nursing is about more than just providing direct care. Every interaction with a student is an opportunity for teaching them about health and self care skills. Having these supplies in place will make it so we have access educational materials to teach students about healthcare needs, have a healthy supply of snacks to feed them when the come to the nurse hungry and a handful of first aid supplies to share with the classroom teachers to take with them on field trips when the nurse cannot be there with them.
