Guided Reading Collections will help my students become readers. Students will have more leveled readers for our classroom library and the leveled readers will also be used during small group reading instruction. My classroom doesn't have many non-fiction books for my students during our non-fiction units. The non-fiction readers will help students learn the difference between fiction/non-fiction if we have more resources in our classroom. We will also have more math puzzles to go into our math centers that students can use to learn how to count and recognize their numbers to 20. My students would also enjoy the soft seats to enjoy reading their favorite books around the classroom. Also, the sight word puzzles and games will help my students learn their high-frequency words in engaging, fun ways. The alphabet puzzles will also help my students learn letter recognition and sounds. Pattern blocks and match me numbers will guide my students onto the correct math trail as we explore patterns and numbers both as a group and independently. These materials will be used throughout the day in guided and small group instruction. Dry erase markers will help my students with writing throughout the day on dry erase boards. Pencil and paper could easily get boring for 5 year old children. So being able to provide instruction in many different ways will help my students be eager to learn and engage in lessons. Your donations will help increase academic achievement in my classroom and push my students to work hard with meaningful learning resources.
