The Tangles and parachutes will be used to promote movement both in and out of the classroom. For students who have trouble sitting without moving, the Tangles will allow them a resource to quietly move their hands during instruction. The parachutes will be used at recess to promote gross motor movement, sharing, and working as a team, which are all things that are needed as we grow. The classroom stuffed animal will be a special class item that will be taken home by each child for a weekend during the school year. The students will journal with their parents' help about their adventures with the chipmunk puppet.
