The selected materials will be utilized to meet my student's individual level of learning. The timers will be used to help students be in charge of their learning time during their specially designed lessons. The laminator will help make durable centers and activities for the students. Velcro holds my classroom together and the more I can use the more we are able to stick to learning. My students are wonderful children they just need support regulating how they express their feelings. I teach them calming skills that make them successful in class and playing with their friends. We use timers to help them take control of their time, learning, and behavior. Five minuets to a student who is upset or struggling with reading seems like forever, but with regulation they can try their hardest until the timer ends for a small break. The white board markers and erasers are for tracking their emotional changes so they can communicate with all their teachers when they are having a hard time with work or they are getting upset. Whit a simple color change drawn at their desk with the markers I can provide the right amount of support. This strategy is a way for students to communicate without peers pointing out their differences or looking weak for asking for help. Headphones are vital for our computer based practice with math, reading, and social/emotional work. Velcro holds my classroom together from the materials on the wall to the markers on their desks it makes the world stable and organized for my students and me. The lamination equipment will be to make materials for the students that are durable and can be carried from class to class.
