My students consist of two classes of identified gifted and talented children, and one class of students living in our attendance zone. As different as they are academically, they also vary greatly in how they best learn. When given a choice, very few of my students sit in the traditional classroom desk/chair combination. Some need to stand, some need to move, some prefer working alone, while others prefer being a part of a group. Our school was STEM certified last year and our students are proving to be innovative leaders, despite 100% being eligible for free lunch. They need the flexibility to spread out and learn in a manner that works best for them.
