About my class

We will use these material during Math center days and mathwork shop. After I teach a mini lesson, we have moved to small groups instruction. Using "Math Folder Games Library" and "Math Activtiy Stations" will allow for my students to work independently or with a partner to review skills they have learned. Students will also have the opportunity to pull multiple skills to answer the "Question of they day" using "Standards for Mathematical Practice Activity Cards". Using real live examples to give meaning to math is key in engaging students. Using "DynaMath" and "Scholastic News" will incorporate science, history and litearcy in math centers. Students will experience the value in math and will assist differentiating instruction. For my fast finishers, "Math in a Flash! Discovery Cans" will continue to focus their attention on building math skills. These math center materials will keep students engaged in meaningful learning. This will be my first year teaching math so I have limited amount of supplies.
